"We'll be updating and improving the editor"... is that what this means?

True.
I removed the linked pic I had... and it worked. I guess Kinja REALLY didn't like that pic of the Jeep Patriot.

That happened to me twice yesterday. Both times, I got a different pic link, and then it worked.

I've noticed Kinja has been refusing to post certain image links lately.

We had a glitch with a server yesterday that was causing a bunch of save problems. Fixed now but let us know if you're still seeing it.

I just posted without the linked pic... and that worked. It was still failing on that pic as of half an hour ago, though.
Just tried to post this with the plain URL for that pic... and got the same error message.

That image was here if you want to try it.
Ah HA! That worked. I couldn't even post it with just the plain text in the entry.

Gotcha, I'm getting a save error too. Something about the source of the image. We'll investigate though it may be a few weeks for a fix.
In these cases, it's best to just save the image and reupload to us.

Hi Greg. I'm having MASSIVE issues with my personal blog, I get a 401 error almost every time I try to use the private view. Sent an e-mail about it yesterday, some guy named Steve told me to try other browser, AFTER I'd told him I'd tried 4-5 different brower and several devices (iPad, computers, macbooks etc). I sent him an answer and told him I'd already tried that, but nobody will give me an answer. Maybe you can tell me why it happens?

Hey thanks for letting me know. We're seeing that error on a small subset of blogs and should have it fixed in the coming weeks. We believe it may be caused by the large amount of content that needs to be loaded when you pull up your private view. This isn't the best solution but try unfollowing a bunch of people so that your private view contains less "followed" content.

Oh yes - definitely. Sites with a lot of content and contributors may throw the 401 error.
